"The Artist captures a reality,

that the Photograph preserves,

and the Imagination endlessly recreates."

I have been capturing images since I was 13, when thanks to my Dad, I got my first SLR — a Nikon EM, with one fixed-focal length manual lens.  He had an Olympus with two lenses and I think he bought me the Nikon so I wouldn’t mess up his Oly lenses. in full format cameras, Of course when I started back in the early ‘80’s it was all analog, and in high school I was in the darkroom developing ILFORD B/W or Fuji Velvia/Provia for color.

I have always had curiosity for "What lies yonder?"  and of different people and cultures. I believe there is an 'explorer' in each of us, and I have had the great privilege to travel to feed this exploration drive. And having lived in Japan for several years not too long ago, you will discover my awe and fascination of Asia through many of my images.

I am grateful Life's chapters and opportunities have provided me access to far reaches of Earth meeting amazing people spanning all seven continents and places including: Alaska, Antarctica, Argentina, Cambodia, China, Estonia, Finland, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Mauritius, Mongolia, Montenegro, New Zealand, Russia, Seychelles, South Korea, Tanzania, Thailand, and of course numerous US states.

At the root, I believe in helping fuel the innate curiosity of humans to create, explore, travel, delve into experiences, share stories, and connect with one another.
I use photography and story-telling as a vehicle for that. Enjoy!
